Our story began

Long before The Quilter’s Farmhouse became a place to sew, gather, and create, it was simply home. Two generations ago, three sisters and their mom & dad moved into this farmhouse in Independence, Missouri, looking for a place to put down roots and make a home of their own. Through a cold Missouri winter, the sisters huddled together and hand-sewed their very first denim quilt—a simple project that became the beginning of a family tradition.

Years later, one of those sisters grew up and eventually found her way back to the farmhouse, this time with daughters of her own. Some of their favorite childhood memories were made right here—throwing open the windows in the morning and looking out to see Grandma and Grandpa tending the garden and caring for their bees. The rhythms of farm life, the love of this place, and the joy of quilting became part of another generation, and now those traditions have been passed down yet again.

Today, The Quilter’s Farmhouse is bringing those memories and traditions to life in a new way. Nestled in Independence, Missouri, the farmhouse is a place to step away from the rush of everyday life, pull up a chair, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something by hand. Whether you're learning a new skill, finishing a treasured quilt, or gathering around the table with friends and family, we invite you to slow down, create, and make memories along the way.
